BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

APBS is an association that was founded in 2018 by psychologists of 6 security forces and registered in the public register in 2019. It brings together psychologists of the Police of the Czech Republic, Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, Prison Service of the Czech Republic, Customs Administration of the Czech Republic and other security forces and other psychologists or students of psychology interested in psychology in security forces. The mission of the APBS is to bring together these psychologists to develop theory and practice in the field and to contribute to the provision of quality psychological services in the security forces, to protect the profession of psychology and to protect the public from the harm that may be caused by unqualified or incompetent individuals or organisations in the practical application of psychology. To this end, the APBS, among other things, organises or facilitates education for psychologists and other providers of psychological support in the security forces, and implements or participates in projects aimed at research, education and practical development of psychological services, while cooperating with other professional organisations. It also cooperates closely with individual security forces through senior security force psychologists and its members.

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

APBS will be involved in the project mainly through dissemination of information about the project and the possibilities of using the project outputs within the security forces. For this purpose, it will ensure publishing information about the project and its outputs on its website and social networks, sending information to its members and other target groups (especially security forces psychologists, methodologists, coordinators and trainers of crisis intervention and peer support systems).
