Description of Dissemination Event:

The Mental Health Advocacy Platform aims to work towards an integrated approach that promotes mental health and prevents mental health problems, while also looking at addressing its root causes and the benefits that will positively impact society at large and economies.
The meeting gathered European and national organisations for which mental health, including its socio-economic determinants, is a topic of relevance. This includes, but is not limited to non-governmental organisations representing various stakeholders (i.e. users of mental health services, service providers, professionals, rights holders, people in disadvantaged situations, families and carers, etc..), universities and research institutes, public health institutes and authorities.
The meeting was aimed at discussing what are the current needs in terms of mental health in Europe. The need for taking care of the mental health of psychological and medical staff emerged, in order to prevent burn-out and vicarious trauma.

Outcomes and Results:

The project Psych.E.In. was presented to the group as a tool to address the need to train mental health personnel to prevent vicarious trauma. Participants were provided with the link to the website of the project and one of them will share the information on the project with their membership. Some expressed interest in becoming associated partners.
