Description

The European Project Erasmus+ named Psychological Early Intervention (Psych.E.In)- Clinical Training was presented at the 31st Panhellenic Congress of Psychiatry, held in the island of Rhodes on 25-28 of May 2023. In particular, its contents (theoretical and practical), structure and methodology, the conditions of its creation and the way of cooperation between the partners were presented. During a period of mourning, fear of death and uncertainty due to Covid-19 and the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, the interaction between the members of the consortium as individuals and as European citizens acted as a link between all partners. The dynamic matrix of an online working group, the context, the creativity of experiential learning, as well as the relationships in a peer group are some of the factors that made it possible this project to be achieved. The comments of the audience of the presentation were more than positive, not only because it constitutes a well-organized effort to further specialized training in the field of Psychological Intervention in Crisis and Mass Disasters, providing specific tools, clinical competence and skill development in the management of critical situations, but also for the overall emphasis it gives to lifelong professional training and supervision of clinical work.
