As a result of the exploitation activity a number of associated partners officially joined the project in order to contribute to the improvement of the project impact on their target groups and to ensure the project sustainability by continuing using the project deliverables in the next years.

Description

Accreditation as an EMDR Trainer is the highest standard that EMDR Europe can award. All EMDR Trainers must hold an up-to-date license or registration to provide psychotherapeutic services in their country. EMDR Europe adopts a rigorous policy of regularly accrediting EMDR Trainers throughout Europe. Only EMDR Europe accredited Trainers are allowed to teach EMDR standard training courses.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION

Founded in 1999, EMDR Europe is the official professional association of National EMDR Associations, establishing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of excellence and integrity in EMDR practice, research and education throughout Europe. Its mission is to improve, through EMDR therapy, the lives of people affected by trauma and mental illness related to stressful experiences and relationships, in order to promote and enhance mental health.

HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS

Since its founding, EMDR Europe endeavours to deliver the highest quality treatment for PTSD and trauma-related disorders by striving to provide:
• high quality clinical practice
• scientific investigation to pursue excellence and further effectiveness
• certified professional training to clinicians working in the mental health field
• continuous educational seminars and conferences
• public education through enlightened policies and targeted mental health promotion
Today 22 EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden) and 12 extra EU countries (Azerbaijan, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Ukraine and Israel) are part of EMDR Europe Association.
This project, therefore, is going to be a useful tool that we will disseminate in our network of more than 30.000 therapists.
